  Portland Press Herald (ME) March 17, 1998 Alice M. Crockett Moore, 87, formerly of Bradenton, Fla., died Monday at Wolcott Hall Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born in South Naples, Maine, daughter of Walter and Rachel Douglas Crocket, attended Bridgton (Maine) Academy and Gray's Business College in Portland, Maine. She was an executive secretary at the Portland Water District for 26 years before her retiring in 1971. Mrs. Moore spent countless hours volunteering at hospitals and was a caregiver to friends and neighbors. Her husband, C. Raymond Moore, died previously. Surviving are a stepson, Robert Moore of Bostwick, Fla.; a nephew, Edward Lawson of Watertown, Conn.; three nieces, Norma McQuarrie of Thomaston, Conn., Nancy Dodge of Belmont, Mass., and Donna Downs of Tucson, Ariz.; several great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
