  St. Louis Post-Dispatch October 15, 1958 Funeral services for Henry V. Farr, vice president and member of the board of directors of Mallinkrodt Chemical Works. will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Lupton undertaking establishment, 7233 De1mar boulevard, University City. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Farr, 81 years old, died yesterday of infirmities at the Sunset Sanitarium, Ellisville. He had been living recently at the sanitarium because of illness after residing many years at the Missouri Athletic Club. Beginning his Industrial career with the chemical concern in 1905, Mr. Farr was named technical director in charge of production in 1940. In 1942 he played a key role in Mallinckrodt's wartime project for the production of pure uranium. Elected to the board of directors in 1944, he was made a vice president the following year. He was a member of the engineering advisory board of the Washington University School of Engineering, a member of the American Chemical Society and at one time was a member of the Society's committee on analytical reagents. A professor-ship in radiochemistry was created at Washington University in 1953 to honor the contributions of Mr. Farr to chemistry. Survivors Include two children, Mrs. William E. Brown, Redondo Beach, Calif., and Allen H. Farr, Decatur, Ala.
