Donald James Hashey Sr., 51, died unexpectedly on Sunday evening, July 3, 2005 in Buxton.
He was born in South Portland on Jan. 19, 1954, the son of Wilfred and Marion (Snow) Hashey.
Mr. Hashey is a graduate of South Portland High School. Afterwards, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army.
Donald has been working for many years with United Methodist Homes in New York and Pennsylvania as the Director of Plant Operations.
He was a member of the Royal Order of Moose and enjoyed activities such as watching NASCAR racing, working on cars and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Jane (Mattimore) Hashey; his mother, Marion Hashey of South Portland; four sons, Donald Jr., Joseph, David, and Patrick Hashey all of the Binghamton, N.Y., area; two sisters, Gayle Hand of Hollis, and Maureen Manson of South Portland; and many nieces and nephews.
